These terms cover the Memoirs to Millions website and our programs. Please read them before you join. When you use this website or join a program, you agree to these terms.
If you joined a program before this date, the terms you agreed to then still cover your program.
Memoirs to Millions is run by Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace LLC, a Wyoming company that operates from Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Mailing address: 1019 Main St, PMB 1033, Bridgeport, CT 06604 Email: support@memoirstomillions.com Website: memoirstomillions.com
You will see two names, and it helps to know how they fit together.
Memoirs to Millions, sometimes written as M2M, is the program. It is where you find your thesis, write your part, and get the book finished.
The Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace, sometimes written as LCWM, is our own bookstore and publishing platform. It is where your account lives, where payments are handled, and where your finished book is published and sold.
Same company, same people, two parts of one system. LCWM keeps its own terms and privacy policy for the store side. Section 11 explains when those begin to apply to you.
Ontology is the study of what something truly is.
We named the program for the work, not for the book. The work is studying your life and your story closely enough to understand what it actually is, and what it actually means. That study is the ontology.
The book that comes out of it is an anthology, because several authors are in it, each writing their own part under one theme.
So: the project is the ontology. The book is the anthology. If you were wondering whether we meant to write "anthology," we did not. We meant this.
We offer three programs. Each is a single price, paid one time. There is no monthly fee, nothing renews, and there is no subscription to cancel.
The Ontology Project — $2,500 A group writes one book together on one theme. You write your part, and your name goes on the cover as a co-author. Your share of the royalties is set before anyone writes a word, and it lasts as long as the book stays for sale.
Write Your Own, Together — $5,000 You write your own book, with Asher guiding you, alongside a group writing theirs. The royalties are yours.
One-on-One With Asher — $15,000 Our most personal program. Asher works with you privately, and the whole program is built around your book, your talk, and the business it feeds.
Your plan and your date. Before your program starts, you and Asher sit down and plan the work. That plan says what you will get, what you will do, and the date your book goes up for sale. It becomes part of your written program agreement, so you have it in front of you before anything begins.
We do it this way on purpose. A memoir is personal, and a plan written before we have met you would be a guess.
We also work with organizations. An Organization Memoir is a commissioned book about an organization's history, researched and written by us rather than by the client. That work differs from the programs above in scope, price, and terms, and it is covered by its own agreement.
These Terms do not apply to an Organization Memoir engagement. If you are an organization considering that work, the Organization Memoir Agreement governs, and you sign it before any work begins.
You cannot buy these programs from a shopping cart. Nothing is charged until you and Asher have spoken and you both agree it is a fit.
How The Ontology Project fills. This one runs in groups, so the timing works a little differently.
You join the list first, and that costs nothing. When enough people are on it, Asher reaches out to the group and talks with each person about whether the timing is right for them. He confirms who is ready before anyone is asked for money.
He sends out offers once he knows the group has enough committed writers. By the time an offer reaches you, the group is real.
Program fees are paid in full, one time, before the work starts. We do not run payment plans ourselves, and we do not bill you monthly.
Payment is handled by Stripe, our payment company. We do not keep your card number.
For our larger engagements we can also accept payment by wire transfer. We tell you which applies before anything is paid.
Depending on what is available when you join, you may be able to pay by card, by a digital wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, or through a financing company such as Klarna. Available options change from time to time, and what you see at the moment you pay is what is available.
If you choose financing, that agreement is between you and the financing company. You pay them back on their terms. We are paid in full either way.
Our Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back and how to ask. Please read it before you join. If this page and the Refund Policy ever seem to disagree, the Refund Policy is the one that counts.
One thing worth knowing here. When you pay, our payment company charges us a processing fee. When we issue a refund, they keep that fee. It does not come back to us.
Because of that, an approved refund is returned to you minus a handling fee that covers what we were charged. That amount is stated in the Refund Policy for each program, so you know it before you pay.
If you paid by wire transfer instead of by card, the handling fee works differently. Our Refund Policy explains it.
Your story is yours. You keep your life story, your memories, and everything you write or record. We do not take ownership of any of it.
Your part of an anthology stays yours. Our group books are built in parts. You are given a theme and a thesis, and you write your part around it. A part may run to several chapters. Whatever you write is yours.
Our teaching materials are yours to use. The frameworks, worksheets, lessons, and methods we teach you are yours to keep, use, and build on after the program ends. You may teach them to your own clients, share them with your own audience, and fold them into your own work under your own name and your own brand. We are not in the business of hoarding what we teach. If it helped you, take it and go help someone else with it.
What stays ours is the name. Do not present yourself as Memoirs to Millions or the Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace, and do not use our names, logos, or branding to promote your own work. Teach the ideas under your banner, not ours.
Your finished book has its own agreement. When your book is published and sold on the Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace, a separate publishing agreement covers who owns it and how you are paid. You sign that later, when the book is ready. It is not part of these terms.
For The Ontology Project. Because several authors share one book, your royalty share is set in writing before anyone writes a word, and it lasts as long as the book stays published.
Two of our programs put you in a group, and writers share real things about their lives in those rooms.
Treat the other writers and our team with respect. Harassment, insults, and abusive behavior are not allowed. Behavior like that can end your place in the program, and someone removed for this reason does not get a refund.
What another writer shares about their own life stays private. Do not repeat it, post it, or use it in your own book without their permission.
Email from Asher. After you fill out the form, Asher may write to you himself about the program you asked about. Every one of those emails tells you that you can reply and ask him to stop. If you ask, he stops, within ten business days at the latest. Those emails carry our business name and mailing address.
Our newsletter. If you sign up, each issue has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
Email about your program. Once you join, we send you email about your own program, things like your receipt and your schedule. These are part of the service you paid for, so they continue while you are in the program.
The checkbox on our form. Our form has one box, and it starts unchecked:
Keep me posted about this program and about the Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace, where the book gets published. I can opt out at any time.
Checking it tells us two things: you are happy to hear from M2M about this program, and you are happy to hear from LCWM about books and publishing.
Leave it unchecked and Asher still writes back, because you asked us a question. What you will not get is anything past that.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we keep what you send us on our own platform, we use it to help you, and we do not sell it.
When you join a program and pay, you get an account on the Life-Changing Wisdom Marketplace, and your book starts its path toward being published and sold in our store. From that point, the Marketplace's own terms and privacy policy also cover that side of your work with us. Those are published on that site.
We teach, coach, and help you produce and publish a book. We do not promise that your book will sell a certain number of copies, earn a certain amount, win an award, or reach any particular audience. That depends on your work, your story, and a market none of us controls.
Stories we share from past authors are their experiences. They are not a prediction of yours.
If something goes wrong and you have a claim against us, the most we can owe you is the amount you paid us for your program.
We are not responsible for indirect losses, things like lost profits, lost business, or lost data, even if we were warned they were possible.
Please contact us first. Most problems get sorted out in a conversation, and we would rather have that conversation than a legal one.
If we cannot work it out, a dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Connecticut, and you agree those courts can hear it.
Connecticut law governs these terms.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last Updated" date at the top. If you are in a program and a change affects your program, we will make a fair effort to tell you.
